The PSORIASIS-CENTER at the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel, addresses one of the most frequent chronic inflammatory skin disorders – psoriasis. The head of the department Prof. Ulrich Mrowietz and his team of dermatologists and research scientists investigate the causes of psoriasis and are involved in multiple clinical research studies to offer more extensive medical care to their patients.

But we want more.
Psoriasis is a complex disease which affects not only the skin but the whole body. People with psoriasis are known to have an elevated risk of developing other diseases like hypertension, dyslipidaemia, diabetes or depression and their complications.

Our goal is to understand the interrelationship between these conditions to obtain an optimal management of psoriasis and the associated comorbidities and provide the best possible treatment for our patients.
